Who are The Fruit Men?

The Fruit Men are a family owned business, committed to providing the highest quality produce and the best and friendliest service. Our priority is supporting our local farmers and producers, always selecting Australian produce when in season. From an environmental perspective, we aim to use as little packaging as possible, loose packing produce where possible. We handpick all our produce at the wholesale market and have built solid relationships with our suppliers. Our online shopping is simple and effective.

How to order?

Once logged in to The Fruit Men ordering platform, select either the pre-determined packages valued at $30, $45 or $60, or design your own box using our self-serve option. If you are unable to use the website, we are happy to take fax or phone orders. If you choose to fax or phone order, we will contact you to advise the cost of your purchase and arrange payment.

Where do we deliver?

Currently, we are delivering in the South Eastern Suburbs. Please enter your postcode in the delivery search box on our home page. If you are not within this zone but would like a delivery, please send an email to info@thefruitmen.com.au to see if we can provide our service to you.

When do we deliver?

The Fruit Men deliver Monday to Saturday. Due to increased demand, orders are currently delivered next day. If ordering in advance, please nominate the day of delivery in the additional information box at checkout.

Is there a minimum order?

We do not have a minimum order for home delivery.

Is there a delivery fee?

All orders incur a delivery fee of $6.50.

What if I want to pay cash on delivery?

No problem. When you finalise your order, simply select the pay on delivery option. Please note that for this option to be available, you must be home at the time of delivery to accept your box and make cash payment. If you are not home, we will not leave your produce. We will send you a text to let you know you have missed your delivery. Please contact us to arrange an alternative.

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?

No. When registering, please nominate where you would like your box to be placed. We recommend selecting a location that is not exposed to direct sunlight or rain. You can also select an AM or PM delivery window.

How will I know my box has arrived?

If you are not home, we will send you a courtesy text to let you know your box has been delivered.

If I am home, do you still leave the box at the designated delivery point?

If you are home, we are happy to carry your box inside if requested.

What do I do with my empty box?

Leave your box out and we will collect it on your next delivery. Otherwise, you are welcome to reuse or dispose of it.

Can my order be recurring?

Due to seasonal pricing, we cannot offer fixed recurring orders. However, you can contact us directly to arrange regular deliveries. Please call to discuss pricing and payment.

Can I add items to a previous order?

Yes. Once you select a previous order, you can add or remove items.

How quickly can I receive my order?

Orders are currently delivered next day, Monday to Friday. You can also place orders several days in advance.

What if my order is urgent?

We will do our best to accommodate urgent requests. If your order is placed after 12pm and you require same day delivery, note this in the additional information box at checkout. We will contact you to arrange where possible. Urgent deliveries incur an additional $2.50 charge.

What if I want to cancel my order?

Please contact us by phone or email. We will usually accommodate cancellations with at least 12 hours notice.

Do I sign any contracts?

There are no contracts.

How long do you keep my personal details?

We retain your details for 2 months after your last login. After this period, your details are deleted.

What do you do with my personal details?

Your personal information is used only to process your order. We do not share your information with third parties.

Are my credit card details secure?

We do not have access to your credit card details. Payments are processed via a secure gateway managed by Bendigo Bank.

What if I am unhappy with the quality of my produce?

Please contact us immediately if you are dissatisfied. We aim to supply only premium produce, but if something is not up to standard, we will replace it on your next delivery.

Internet viewing requirements for our online store

The Fruit Men website works across major browsers on Windows and Mac, including Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later is required if using that browser.
